Yesterday my sister sent me this picture that showed a few of my friends and I at my high school prom. Approximately 6 months ago is when this picture was taken and the amount of change I have undergone since then is tremendous. Its a warm feeling when you begin to really see yourself change in front of your eyes by the way I talk, my perspective on certain things, my vernacular, etc. I mean people tell you that the time from your high school graduation to your first year in college is going to be the most challenging and significant process ever! But do we really believe them? Or at least I didn’t! I guess it comes with the territory of being a true Virgo, I have to experience something to fully see where people are coming from with their advice. The person in this picture is so eager for the coming months, a little naive and just sick of the past 4 years. I am still eager for my future although the reason for my eagerness has more a legitimate significance behind it, the sense of naive-ness (I’m not an English major, can you tell?) has definitely faded down and I am embracing the nest four years with a bear hug! My first semester is coming to a close (only two more weeks left!) and with it, comes a new page in the novel of my life. I look forward to sharing just a bit more with you all and getting back to doing what I love, talking fashion and beauty!
First of all, fall is here and I could not be any happier! I’m really do miss blogging and it kills me that I cannot blog as much as I can. I’m in the process of getting a little more situated and I will be making more of consistent effort to blog as much as I can! With that said, lets get into today’s post, I had such a fun time creating it and hope you pick up a few things from it!
As you go about your career as college student, you discover that you have less time to keep up with fashion trends and even less money to spend. Upon looking around (instead of reading the thirty three pages of law homework I’m assigned with), I found some remarkably affordable pieces that are all under $50 and are steaming for the fall!
My dad’s car was all packed up and my entire family and I headed off to university. I had to move in a day after everyone else but in a way I wasn’t that disappointed because I was able to avoid the chaos of move in day.
Before and after moving into my university dorm. It took me a solid four hours to get everything into its place all by myself. Key words: all by myself. P.S I do have a roommate so the space is limited but she’s so fantastic, I don’t even care sharing haha.
My mum surprised me with a huge delivery box filled with a whole bunch of goodies for my birthday. Add the awesome friends I was surrounded with plus this surprise and spending my birthday on campus wasn’t so bad after all!
The library. Literally my home through the week especially on Thirsty Thursdays (replace the alcohol with coffee please, these girls are pulling an allnighter!)
I got to lead my very own Cardio class so you can say something got checked off my bucket list
My first night out!
Do you like this little number? I had to withhold from buying it cause it finally kicked in that summer is really over.
Fall ready face?
A night out with my hall mates. Its amazing how close you can grow to a bunch girls you’ve only known for only a month. Love them all so much!
So far I barely have enough time to sit down and even read the title of a magazine article so while my blog is a priority of mine its going to be a little harder to keep it regularly updated.
I thank you all so much for not losing hope in me and I hope I can learn to balance two of my first loves!
This week’s nails of the week is nails in the color Beverly hills by Sinful colors. The color goes on great and only requires two or three coats to get a marble finish. I bought mine at my local Walgreens for only $1.99 and I never regretted it!
What are you wearing on your nails this week?

The teen choice awards took place so you know what that means! Lots of super cute looks, fun hairstyles and celeb attendees that are well over their teens.
1. Katie Cassidy.
Okay so I’m not that surprised that Katie looked radiant in this little pink number because girl could wear a bathroom rug and I would still be like, ” Girrrl wore that rug!!”.
2. Leven Rambin.
I gasped when I saw Leven in this show stopping dress. I desire everything about it from the color to the fit. On top of that, her hair, makeup and strappy heels just captivate me!
3. Renee Bargh.
Renee Bargh looks magnificent as she takes on the hot summer Black and white trend from head to toe.
4. Selena Gomez.
Lately Selena has been on her A game with everything from music (her Stars Dance album) and her fashion choices. Gomez isn’t letting our attention slip away from her anytime soon and she proves that with this killer deep green Cushnie et Ochs dress and flawless hair and makeup! Although is it not my favorite look from her, I do love the color and top half of her dress.
5. Troian Bellisario.
All I can say about Troian is that elegant is her fortay for sure! She kept her look super fresh with lots of white and streaks of blue in her Elisabetta Franchi dress and white pumps.
The surburgatory actress just glows in her Naeem Khan dress and nude heels! The beauty is in the details with gorgeous jeweled up flowers shapes.

Whether its on the red carpet or out and about, Julianne always makes me want to throw out all my clothes and go buy whatever she has on! Of course if I had a penny for every time I tried to do that, I would sipping sparkling apple cider in Cabo every other weekend. Once I’m over the fact that I simply cant have everything Ms. Hough wears I look around my closet for similar items and mix and match until I get the perfect look.
Julianne’s essential wardrobe pieces include: 1). A Leather Jacket! 2). Booties! 3). Black and blue denim. 4). Black, white and graphic T-shirts. 5). Flowy tops.
This first look gives us an insight in almost of Julianne’s looks: Edgy yet casual.
Julianne rocks a few of her most commonly worn items ; black booties, a leather jacket and basic tee. She then adds a pop of army green loose fitted shorts to give the look a bit more character. The chain link purses ties the whole outfit together while adding the right amount of girly.
Taking major cues after J. Hough, I grabbed a pair of my favorite army green shorts and pair it with a basic black v neck and faux leather jacket. To continue along with the edgy theme, I also added combat boots.
The second outfit is your basic t shirt and jeans but with a major twist from Julianne. She adds side knot to her shirt and rolls up the bottom of her distressed denim. To finish the look and give it character Julianne adds some funky detailed sandals.
To recreate the look, grab your favorite distressed light wash denim, white scoop neck t shirt and statement sandals. Add a side knot to your t shirt and fold up the cuffs on your jeans for a more laid back look!
Shorts: made them myself (this is not a brand, I actually made them ;). Faux leather Jacket: Burlington Coat Factory. Black V-neck : Forever21. Belt: Forever21.
Leather jackets are a part of me, there’s no hiding it. I just feel like they do so much! Call me crazy but I still wear them during the summer anytime I can. I’m obviously not wearing them when its scorching hot out but for those beautiful 70 degree days that come with the perfect breeze, the jacket makes a cameo. I like to keep the rest of the look light and simple. Denim shorts give the outfit a cool contrast. Add little accents of gold (necklaces, bracelets, earrings) to make the look pop even more!
Shopping tip: The few fall items that stores have in store during the summer are always super inexpensive! I scored this faux leather jacket at my local Burlington Coat Factory for wait for it…… 7 DOLLARS!! ARE YOU STILL THERE? I ALMOST CRIED!
